AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR STRESS

Stress..

AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR STRESS

AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR STRESS

Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way. When you sense danger, whether it is real or imagined the body’s defenses kick into high gear in a rapid, automatic process known as the “fight-or-flight” reaction, or the stress response. The stress response is the body’s way of protecting you. When working properly, it helps you stay focused, energetic, and alert. In emergency situations, stress can save your life giving you extra strength to defend yourself, for example, or spurring you to slam on the brakes to avoid an accident.

Signs, Symptoms, Causes, and Effects:

Modern life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For many people, stress is so common place that it has become a way of life. Stress is not always bad. In small doses, it can help you perform under pressure and motivate you to do your best. But when you are constantly running in emergency mode, your mind and body pay the price. If you frequently find yourself feeling frazzled and overwhelmed, it is time to take action to bring your nervous system back into balance. You can protect yourself by learning how to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress and taking steps to reduce its harmful effects.

Causes of stress:

The situations and pressures that cause stress are known as stressors. We usually think of stressors as being negative, such as an exhausting work schedule or a rocky relationship. However, anything that puts high demands on you or forces you to adjust can be stressful. This includes positive events such as getting married, buying a house, going to college, or receiving a promotion. What causes stress depends, at least in part, on your perception of it. Something that is stressful to you may not faze someone else; they may even enjoy it.

Tips for Stress Management:

The first tip in managing stress is to recognize your stressors. The next step is to put each of them in their place. The following stress management tips, based on some old and some new adages, can help you do just that.

When you rest in your actual awareness, you will perform activities with effortless ease. Letting go of control does not mean that activities will stop. It just means that you will stay as the watcher while life unfolds. It will be clear to you that you are not the controller but the awareness of all that is going on. Nothing stops when you relinquish a control you never had to start with. Only stress and suffering fall away.

Ayurvedic Treatment For Kidney Failure

Kidney Failure

Ayurvedic Treatment For Kidney Failure

Ayurvedic Treatment For Kidney Failure

The main job of the kidneys is to filter out waste products. They reabsorb what is needed and remove the waste in urine. The most important waste products are excess sodium and water. Each kidney contains about a million filtering units called nephrons. They eliminate wastes from the body, regulate the volume and pressure of blood, and control levels of electrolytes and blood acidity

Chronic renal failure (CRF) is the progressive loss of kidney function. The kidneys attempt to compensate for renal damage by hyper filtration (excessive straining of the blood). Over time, hyper filtration causes further loss of function.

Causes of Renal Failure :

  • Kidney failure can occur from an acute event or a chronic condition or disease.
  • Prerenal kidney failure is caused by blood loss, dehydration, medication.
  • Some of the renal causes of kidney failure are from sepsis, medications, rhabdomyolysis, multiple myeloma, and acute glomerulonephritis.
  • Post renal causes of kidney failure include bladder obstruction, prostate problems, tumors, or kidney stones.

Symptoms of kidney Failure :

Unfortunately, most symptoms of kidney disease only show up when a large part of kidney function has already been lost.

  • Swelling of the legs or face
  • Generalized swelling
  • Changes in urination may occur
  • Inability to regulate water and electrolyte balances
  • Fatigue

Diagnosis :

The most common test of kidney function is a urine test. A simple “dipstick” is used. This test checks levels of protein, sugar, ketones, blood, nitrites, and red and white blood cells. Small amounts of protein in the urine show up before kidney disease has caused a loss of kidney function. Then a simple test of Blood Urea and Serum cretanine is also very helpful.

Ayurvedic Tips for Kidney Failure :

  •  The food should be high in calories and low in protein.
  • Avoid fast food, maida based food, canned, baked, processed and preserved foods.
  • Avoid to take cheese, salted cheese or nuts

Ayurvedic Treatment for Kidney Failure :

First of all we should clearly understand that if the person is also suffering from long illness disease like High blood pressure or Diabetes, then we should take care for those diseases on a basic treatment. Ayurveda has a vast variety of medicines and supplements to cover this kidney failure.

Ayurvedic treatment for Depression

Ayurvedic treatment for depression

Ayurvedic treatment for depression

Depressive disorders have beenwith mankind since the beginning of recorded history. Depression, also referred to as clinical depression, has been portrayed in literature and the arts for hundreds of years, but what do we mean today when we refer to a depressive disorder? In the 19th century, depression was seen as an inherited weakness of temperament.
People who wonder if they should talk to their health professional about whether or not they have depression may consider taking a depression self-test, which asks questions about depressive symptoms. In thinking about when to seek medical advice about depression, the sufferer can benefit from considering if the sadness lasts more than two weeks or so or if the way they are feeling significantly interferes with their ability to function at home, school, or work and in their relationships with others. The first step to obtaining appropriate treatment is accurate diagnosis, which requires a complete physical and psychological evaluation to determine whether the person may have a depressive illness, and if so, what type. As previously mentioned, certain medications, as well as some medical conditions, can cause symptoms of depression. Therefore, the examining physician should rule out (exclude) these possibilities through an interview, physical examination, and laboratory tests. Many primary-care doctors use screening tools for depression, which are usually questionnaires that help identify people who have symptoms of depression and may need to receive a full mental-health evaluation.

Ayurvedic Treatments and Tips for Depression

  • One of the most important treatments for depression is Yoga and meditation. Along with this, mental counseling is the best way to treat depression.
  • Ayurvedic oil massages for head like shirodhara and shirobasti are also recommended. Full body massage like abhayanga is also helpful.
  • Mix 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg powder with 1 tablespoon of freshly extracted amla juice. Consume this mixture thrice a day.
  • Licorice tea also works well for depressed minds. Take 1-3 cups of tea per day to get rid of depression.
  • Diet is also an important concern for treating depression. Having a well balanced nutritional food is very essential.
